Your business’s carbon footprint: what it is and how to measure it

January 31, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm GMT

In this session we’ll break down your carbon footprint and how to measure it, so you can practical action to reduce it.

Doing business sustainably is vital for everyone’s future. Measuring your carbon footprint and working towards net zero will become essential as larger businesses review their supply chains and choose suppliers who can demonstrate their progress to reducing carbon. This can be daunting for SMEs who don’t have big teams and budgets. That’s why we focus on demystifying your carbon footprint so that you can take practical action to achieve net zero for your business.

We’ll explore:

• Carbon footprints and what they’re made up of
• Why it’s important and the business benefits of measuring your carbon footprint
• Carbon data and emissions factors
• Different carbon calculators available and what that means for businesses collecting data

You’ll leave feeling empowered, with practical actions that you can implement straight away to get started, or continue, your business’s journey to net zero.

Agenda:
• Heart of the City introduction (5 minutes)
• Presentation from Laura McCullough, Net Zero Programme Manager, Heart of the City (25 minutes)
• Q&A and wrap up (15 minutes)
