Mitigating carbon emissions associated with crop production

To help growers calculate the carbon footprint of their crops and identify mitigation measures, the Yield Enhancement Network created a new farmer network called YEN Zero. YEN Zero provides analysis and benchmarking of combinable and forage crop carbon footprints on a per-field basis.

Aimed at farmers and land managers, this webinar will:

• introduce YEN Zero
• explain why growers should benchmark their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
• help identify agronomic practices for reducing GHGs associated with crop production

From 20-24 November, ADAS will be hosting four webinars exploring how to improve climate resilience in the agricultural sector as part of Countryside COP 3. Open to everyone, each webinar is aimed at a different stakeholder within the food supply chain. Producers, retailers, and policy decision makers all have a role to play in helping the sector adjust and adapt to the effects of climate change. ADAS sustainability and farming experts will be joined by co-hosts the Met Office, the Food and Drink Federation, and farming representatives.
